HANDS IN SPACE—
Mount Desert Island Library Tour
 

Following its successful debut exhibit in Washington, D.C., Hands in Space returned to Maine to bring "The Astronaut Glove Experience" to Mount Desert Island's four public libraries in August 2008. The tour built public awareness and support for the institute's next step.

Based on our successful school programs, the library tour, and the encouragement of the National Air and Space Museum, the Island Astronomy Institute and and Flagsuit, LLC entered into a formal collaborative agreement to pressure further development of Hands in Space.
